It lies in the center of R\u00e2u de Mori, Hunedoara County. The court was built in the 16th century on the ruins of old Roman edifices and it belonged to the C\u00e2ndea family.\u00a0The monument is made of a group of constructions including a residential building, the court chapel, the stable, dependencies, the mill and the church. Being \u201cL\u201d-shaped, the first floor of the building is sunk into the ground. Being used in times of peace, the rooms built around a patio were larger than those of the fortifications and they had wide windows with round glass, manually worked. The windows also had brick vaults above, of which only some remnants have been preserved till today. It seems that on the place where the nobiliary court was erected there had already been a fortified tower protecting the road to the village, and which was integrated into the construction. It had thick walls and narrow windows and the entrance was above the ground level, so that the door was reached through a wooden ladder.
