Poiana Omului

Lying South-East from Piatra Roșie, Poiana Omului was in antiquity a real communication „knot” for the area of the fortresses from the Orăștiei Mountains. It is a very large clearing, with a surface of about 93 ha, a watershed divide (it is there that the Pârâul Roșu springs) and former place of village festivals. It is crossed by an earth wall, with a double ditch, of about 6 m width in all, with diverts and sinuosities.
